4gb microsd/microsdhc?

I just got my alltel htc6800 and and looking to buy a 4gb card. Will both, microsd and microsdhc, work? Any problems with either?

First of all, yes, they will both work. However, there are DEFINITELY a few very lengthy, easy to find threads concerning this.

Just a heads up, there are often more complicated issues where it's easier just to ask rather than search for it, but on something like this, some people will shred on you for not searching for this, and possibly responding on an existing thread.

There is no such thing as a 4GB microsd. Anything over 2GB is, by definition, SD HC.

And, yes, as described in detail in numerous other threads, 4GB SD HC works fine.

This does bring up something interesting though, SDHC is supposed to be compatable with WM6, and the support through WM5 is only if you have the SDHC drivers installed, and they weeren't included with most WM5 versions from what I understand.

So will SDHC work with a Altell 6800 with WM5 on it??

Bestbuy had a 4GB MicroSDHC on sale for $59.99 today if anyone was looking. It was the combination of all 3 Micro/Mini/SD.

2GB microSD cards are also SDHC.

You can get a 4GB MicroSD Sandisk card from Amazon.

$33??!?!?!!?!?

I usually only buy kingston or sandisk, but this one might be hard to pass

That Transcend offered at Amazon for $33 is a miniSD, not microSD.

Looks like the cheapest 4GB microSD at Amazon is $48 or so.
