Is anyone able to get on MySpace?
Everytime I try to get on myspace, it goes to the log in page. I enter my email address and password, then click on "log in" and it says "connecting."
And that's all. The little circle in the bottom right corner just keeps circling, and it never stops. The status never goes past "connecting" and the status bar never even appears. I only have this problem with myspace, not with any other website. I have nothing installed on my phone that would irritate it. Only the MMS hack, Palm Thread Texts & Pencil Box. Nothing else. Is this happening to anyone else, or just me? |
I view myspace on opera, i never us IE. Reason being is cause it looks the closest to being on a pc

MySpace works perfectly fine for me. No idea on why it wouldn't work on yours though.

Me either, and it's driving me crazy. iIt says connecting & never goes past that. Any other webiste connects at the snap of my fingers, but not friggin' myspace...
Any particular version of Opera I should use? Opera Mini or regular Opera...? |
i have the same problem with PIE i now use opera and it works great so give opera a try and it should work

Maybe it's something wrong with my phone, although doesn't seem likely since it's only that ONE website... because I got Opera, tried it, and the same thing. It gets stuck on connecting, but all other sites work. Grrr!

Opera Mini here, love love love it. Much better than PIE and its not even meant for the PPC. I'm surprised Opera doesn't make a program like this for the PPC, Opera Mobile isn't as good as Mini IMHO.

Umm... you're probably forgetting that at peak times, Myspace is completely unreachable 90% of the time.
Try doing it late in the evening when everyone is in bed. |
Myspace works fyne on my Treo using reglar PocketIE....

i used to have issues all the time on my PC getting on myspace. with the PPC, i rarely get on there unless i run out of options in my fav's and I am bored to death. til they make a WM friendly version, i wont go there that often.

ok so im a myspace whore lol and need to get on w my 6800 so i either use opera and or pie...you gotta get memaid or sktools to clean your cache/history/cookies out once and awhile or you wont be able to logon..trust me i know lol..so clean out all those and youll be golden..at least to reply to msgs..i have a prob w viewing other peoples pages but w?e at least i have the mailbox =)

Its funny I can log on to myspace its just when I click on a picture tab it kicks me out saying i must be logged in hmmm....

so true..but it doesnt kick me out..like if i goto the new feature of my new friends then click on a profile it bumps me to my whole friends list....but then i run memaid and it works. weird. just run memaid or sktools and you should be able too get on depending if you get rid of the cookies and cache..myspace is a big javascript whore mobile phones cant take all that.....yet =)

I figured something out about MySpace. When you get that login screen over and over, stop trying to login. Just click Mail or Blog. It usually takes you right to your in-box. You are logged in.
There seems to be some kind of bug in their code for PIE users. When that doesn't work, soft reset your ppc (and clear your cache for good measure), and it should. Hope that helps. -TOV |
