Flashed to newest 6.5 rom, gave phone to pops, and still retains old number?
 

I flashed the phone to the latest 6.5 build and then gave the phone to my dad so he can use it (i switched to sprint). However, he went to go port the phone to his number, and my old number will not be removed. I've searched all over the phone and have no idea where/how to change the number. Is it even possible?

Did you install carrier cab if required. Also if on verizon just dial *228 then option 3 to change his number to that phone.

he has to activate it then do the OTAP. i would assume sprint has it just like VZN.

No you are incorrect sir, on verizon you can activate it over the air using option 3. I gave this info assuming he uses Verizon.

VZN no longer has the opt 3 when you dial *228. at least they didnt last time i updated which has been a couple of weeks.

It is still there I used it the other day. It has always been there for me.

IDK. ill go outside in a min and try it. like i said, last time i did *228 it wasnt there. only opt 1+2.
