Vibrating dialer keys

Remember the 6700 having the .cab that gave tactical feedback when you dialed a number? has that been done for the mogul? I tried the .cab for the 6700 and it didnt work for the mogul.

nemanracing 09-19-2007 04:12 AM

This works on WM6 Apache as well

queenruby 09-19-2007 11:03 PM

Great find.. this works real sweet on my Mogul.

hoodracer 09-19-2007 11:30 PM

will this also work for using on screen keyboard???

SINNN 09-19-2007 11:34 PM

no.. only on the dialer. otherwise its going to shake you stylus while your trying to hit the tiny display keys.

Morlince 09-19-2007 11:45 PM

Awesome, this is so amazing, Great re-visit of the hack.

I have a couple of questions...

1. Will this work with modified dialers?
2. Does it vib only when a number is pressed or upon screen tap like the screen tap sounds?
3. Any lags or drawbacks?

Thanks.

hoodracer 09-22-2007 02:39 PM

it only does it when when u press the buttons

SINNN 09-22-2007 05:26 PM

Honestly I did tried this with another dialer and it did work still. But I havent tried it on others. No lags really... only drawback is the key press sound is not there no more. Seems like vibrate took over sound. So if you dont mind the sound tone being gone then you should like this.

Kasracer 09-23-2007 08:18 PM

I really like this. Helps me a lot when I'm dialing and not looking at the pad.

Thanks!

Unfortuantely, this does not work with the registry edit on this page: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=7733 (disabling the skin).

:(

Are you guys getting long vibrations when you press the dialer keys? I remember on the 6700 that the phone would vibrate as long as you pressed the key. So a short tap would get a quick vibrate. With this, I notice that you get a 2 second vibrate no matter how quickly you tap the keys.

Yes, that's why I removed the program... by the time the first vib was finished, I was already entering my 4th number.

This program started out working fine, but now this exact problem is happening. Any ideas?

I ran through your uninstall instructions. The sounds come back for one press then there is no sound again. In the registry, the Sound name is changing to: \Windows\dpadctl.mid all dialer buttons. Can you tell me what's wrong? I appreciate it.
