No headphone or ringtone
 

Something has happened to my sound. My phone does not sound if I have a ringtone set. If I plug in my stock headphones I can't here anything when I play an mp3 either. I don't know if I have a corrupt dll or what's going on.
The speakerphone still works so I know it's not the speaker.
I'm running the stock sprint rom with HTC home. I've rescently done a hard reset and still having the same problem.
Any suggestions thanks in advance.

Check to see if the sound profile (the panel with the phone and note icons) is set to Automatic. This will silence ringers.

I'm not seeing what your talking about. I've gone into Start\Settings\Sounds & Notifications. I don't see anything about Automatic.
Am I in the wrong location?

It's the last tab on the right under missed calls in the photo.

Now I'm with ya. This was happening before I installed anything or reinstalled Spring Rom. That wasn't in though.
I've looked everywhere I can think of that's why I was thinking a driver or dll issue I just don't know which one/s. I have a buddy that has the same phone so getting the files should be a problem. Still suprised a hard reset didn't fix it.

Do you sync Outlook with mobile calendar? Maybe a reminder is messed up.

Finally found something that worked. I flased a rom by jmartin72, 23053 to be exact. I was still having issues but I accidently clicked on a mp3 file today and I heard the song. Amazing, I don't know exactly what it was but it works and I don't care at this point.
