hey guys

i purchased a 2nd hand HTC Titan and i am having issues with the usb port on my does not work so i cannot use the cradle to sync or charge it via usb cable or via wall charger, but i can still use the usb headset that came with it to listen to music and make calls.

is there any possible way to fix this?

did you try taking out your battery then waiting a minute and put it back in? also, what about the usb/headset splitter, does that work?

cradle you say... hmm, yea, cradles don't play nice with miniusb.
have you tried a different cord without the cradle?

Re: USB Problem

it's possible the contacts got dirty on the charge pins, but thier not exactly easy to clean, and it's actually more likely something internal since the headset works.

another thought would be (if you haven't already) is trying to plug in a slightly different angles (gently) and maybe only inserting partway. you will need to hold it still a few seconds to see if it starts charging. that way you know it atleast functions and can go about trying to clean or fix the connector.

gave that a try sadly did not work, i was tempted to splice the cable and swap the ends over but somehow i dont think that would work
