Issue with xv6800
Hi everyone.
I have a serious issue with my verizon xv6800. I'll go ahead and say that I've spent about eight hours today and yesterday reading threads on this site and others, going through everything I could find and trying every single option I could find. NOTHING has worked. My XV6800 is stuck in the bootloader. It turns on, displays: TITA100 SPL-2.07.0000 CPLD-9 I bought this phone off ebay about a year ago, and it has worked perfectly ever since, until last night. I have never once tried to flash the bootloader, radio, or OS rom. Last night I was laying in bed checking my text messages, and my phone wouldn't open messaging, so I soft reset it. It then loaded into the bootloader. I have tried: Reflashing the stock verizon MR1 and MR2 ROMS: Both completed successfully, but the phone is still in boot loader mode. Running titan_exitbl.exe: Completed sucessfully, phone rebooted into the bootloader again. I even went as far as to download the dcd roms and try flashing it with those, same thing as the verizon roms. Same thing happened. Flash was sucessful, but when the phone reboots, it goes into bootloader mode. I even tried using mtty and doing the "set 14 0" thing or whatever it was. Didn't help. So I gave up, took the battery out, went to bed. When I woke up this morning, I put the battery back in, and the phone booted perfectly! It went through the OS setup process, and when it was done, it soft reset itself. Guess what, it went back into the boot loader. I'm really at a loss as to where I can go from here. Verizon doesn't sell the xv6800 anymore, and they really don't have any other phones I want. Someone help, please. :( |
Re: Issue with xv6800
Plug the USB earbuds in and soft reset.

Re: Issue with xv6800
sometimes an extra hard-reset after flash works wonders.

Re: Issue with xv6800
I think it has something to do with running Olipro 2.7, then changing to Olipro 2.4.
I found that the cure is to: Get back to stock (the 2 folder method) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=376829 Run Olipro 2.4 Flash radio 3.42.50 Flash custom ROM http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=81794 Check post #5. EDIT: Like shaggylive said, allways hard reset after every flash. And sometimes an aditional hard reset can make a difference. Olso, try to do your flashing with the SD card method as Mouser Electronics only sells the USB jack for the 5 connector plug. I am still trying to find the 11 connector jack. |
