I have noticed that with is update when i click on start/and any of the programs i no longer have click sounds as I did in WM5. Anyone else notice this.

I have checked all my sound settings and they are set to on but i get nothing.. anyone else have this issue?

have been running wm6 for 2 days now ... everything good so far ... tried to install voice command 1.6 from microsoft to get rid of clunky voice programming on the alltel version 6800 ... will not install .. any help ??

I have had a lot of problems with WVC ever scince i upgraded my 6700 to the 6800 it doesn't work even half as good. Now Im puting this update on in hopes that it will work better.

Not sure what happend. Now i have it updated to new rom and Vista will not find it to sync. it also reboots it self every little while.

I may try to run the update again and see what happens.

Alanmeyer,
As to the sync problem- what you need to do is go to settings/connections/usb to pc and unclick the check box for advanced. Once you connect your 6800 to your pc it should come up to set up sync.

Need some help....I am getting the following error message. "This application (iconfig.exe) requires a newer version of the Microsoft.NET compact Framework than the version installed on this devise. Can anyone help a novice with this? Thanks in advance.

Try downloading .net 3.0 Framework from Microsoft... (2.0 would probably work, but...)

Just to clarify, this is 3.0 for your PC; I'm not sure how much the WM6 installer relies on playing between WM's .net and Windows .net, but it's worth a try.

Call one of you kind folks with the new ROM tell me if they fixed the Alarm issue while on charge.

To test:

Schedule an Appointment for say 6AM.
Put the unit on your charger the night before and hit the sleep button on the side.

It should wake the unit on it's own at 6AM and sound the alarm.

With the bug on WM6 Sprint phones. The Alarm will sound when you pick up the device and wake it up my hand (hitting the sleep/wake button the side).

Curious if they fixed this annoying issue.

I really want to install this ROM on my Sprint Mogul. I've searched around and didn't come up with anything, so can someone more knowledgeable on the subject tell me if this is a good idea, or if it's begging to have my phone bricked:

I downloaded the Alltel ROM and extracted its NBH contents using nbhextract. The CID is set to ALLTE001.

I also downloaded the newest Sprint ROM and extracted its NBH contents. That one's CID is set to SPCS_001.

Can I use nbhgen to change the CID of the Alltel ROM to Sprint's?

Yes you can, but you will no longer be able to flash it because in modifying it the ROM will lose its digital signature. The device requires the ROM to have HTC's digital signature or it won't allow it to be flashed.

And no we can't re-sign it with HTC's signature (we don't have that). So at this point you are stuck with the official ROMs released for your carrier.
