first of all, yes i am retarded when it come to phones and computer(part of my problem) i can tear apart a car engine but not cell phones lol

i bought a sprint mogul on ebay and got it connected with sprint. everything worked great till i got greedy and wanted to upgrade my 6.0 to 6.1
i went to the htc web site and downloaded the SPRINT version to the phone.installed 6.1 fine.well now the phone trys to connect to verizon???? i called boost to make sure mymdn and msid were correct and they are. what could be wrong? should i redo 6.0????? are there settings that i can change? if you have any suggestions treat me like a 5yr old and and remember i'm a phone tard

Re: boost mobile rom issue

Use BAF msl grabber to get you msl. Put prl in your my documents of phone. Then dial ##778# or ##778 send. Enter code. Find prl section. Change prl. Just for kicks before you do all this. What is listed as your prl under device info under settings.

Re: boost mobile rom issue

So that is for sure a sprint prl. Why do you say it is connecting to verizon.

Re: boost mobile rom issue

if i try to make a call say to my voicemail i get the recording"welcome to verizon your phone...... blah blah blah
so do i down load the grabber right to the phone?

Re: boost mobile rom issue

Are you sure you are dialing the correct voicemail format for sprint. No you cant get much of anything off the other phone other than phone numbers. What happens when you try to dial out a phone number and not voicemail

Re: boost mobile rom issue

it also is giving me the "roaming triangle at the top if that means anything

Re: boost mobile rom issue

Has the phone been added to your account. Because maybe you get the message because you are roaming on a Verizon tower. If the phone isn't activated then the tower just gives you that message. The roaming triangle gave me this idea.

Re: boost mobile rom issue

you need from boost the msid which is like a phone number also make sure the mdn (mobile Directory Number) (Your phone number) if all of that is in place and the esn (dec) samething activate the phone all you need is the PRL i downloaded the same prl that is in this thread and im working well with the exception of data but i figure wait 24 hrs before racking my brain to see the cause however my sms is working just fine
