mogul is lagging and freezing
 

i dont know whats wrong with my phone today but it seems to be lagging and freezing like ever 5 minutes.

ill soft reset the phone open up contacts scroll through that but ill x that then open the calander and that takes like 30 seconds to load and to swtich views takes another 30 seconds. other times the program wont even load all the way.


i uninstalled all the 3rd party apps figuring something was wrong there. but this is drving me nuts. my phone laggs a ton on messaging, txts and contact or whatever. phone is becoming no usable now. ive only had the phone for like a month or something..

think a hard reset would fix this?

A hard reset would probably fix it. I've had the same issues in the past. A hard reset always brought it back to life. Remember to backup your contacts!

If its a software problem, a hard rest would fix it.
The question is if that's really necessary... I've had many HTC phones, and I've never had a problem so bad that it required a hard reset. That's always the plan B you hope it won't come to.

Have you tried a soft-reset? does the lagging start right away after resetting, or does it take a while?
How's your signal?
How much memory is it reporting free?
If you're sure nothing is installed that runs in the background anymore, try putting it into flight mode and see if it is still lagging.

If all else fails (and you don't mind spending a few hours re-installing all your stuff), by all means a hard-reset should fix it.

That is, assuming there isn't a hardware problem, which is very unlikely.

what i am noticing now is the depending on what i open first ie messaging, contacts or calander the others will be super lagged while the original progam i open operates quick and responsive. but it the do the memory close all and switch it around it depends on what i open first. i can have more than 1 open or it super lag for the other apps.........


my free mem in like 20... so im really confused. never had this before today

i did a soft rest and all the program operate together fine in the begining. im not sure how long it takes but eventually it will start the lag.



took about 10-15minutes with them open and me coming back to my phone.

after it begins to act up. i force close all the programs and put it into flight mode and everything can run at the same time again. i will see if it locks up after this after a bit.

Mine has a bit of a lag on it too. Whn i hit the message button, it takes a minute to open up. Sometime I have to hit it again to get it to open up. Today when i open my messages and i hit the "x" to close out that doesn't work. I have Wisbar light, but it's the trial version, anyone have problems with Wisbar? I did a hard reset last night and that didn't do anything for me.
