Anybody using any good Java apps?

I am using Opera Mini and it is great... and I have been looking for some more Java apps, but have found nothing worth keeping.
Wondering if anyone else was using something worthwhile.

where did you find Simcity in java format?

Kasracer 08-22-2007 08:59 PM

Why would you go out and actively look for Java apps? They're slower and use more ram than other WM apps...

Also, why are people still using the Java version of Google maps? They have a native client for WM and it works quite a bit better and faster...

I searched for Java games and found a lot of Nokia S40 sites with games. Most suck, but work. I hosted Sim City at http://www.mustang46l.com/Sim_City.jad

To get mGmaps working I followed the instructions here. http://ppcgeeks.com/gmail-gmaps-java...-21-t1198.html I think that the PPC version that Google offers is better though since the only reason I wanted mGmaps is for the GPS support.

I also have GMail but I'm not using it.

The PPC version of Google Maps has GPS support, fyi

Mustang46L 08-23-2007 10:41 AM

Oh sorry. I meant that I got mGmaps for the use of aGPS in the phone, which doesn't work. Both Google Maps and mGmaps support the use of a bluetooth GPS module.
