Ringer doesnt play selected ring tone?

I have my 6800 to play Ring-Vision for the incoming calls, but it doesnt, insted it plays Telephone Ring 2 (I think thats the sound) no where in my sounds/notifications do I have Tele. Ring 2 listed to play. (I have the MMS Cab, Palm IM, and HTC Plug in installed, The HTC tab says its suppose to be playing Ring-Vision also) Any ideas? (Latest version of the rom with the plugins insalled)

do a soft reset after you change these tones. my alarm tone wont work until i soft reset. but you may have something more complicated than that with the software you got going on.

yeah mine does the same thing too, although sometimes it will play the ringtone it is supposed to and sometimes it wont, it basically is a toss up.

My problems a bit simpler - it'll ring with a generic old-school phone ringtone for a milisecond, and then kick into whatever mp3-ripped-to-wav file I have set (musical ringtones).

I'm having the same problem as well. However, I can't get the HTC tab to even "preview" the file. I've tried .WAV, .MP3, .WMA, and .M4A. I can play them in Media Player, but not as ringtones. I've put them in multiple file locations, and I still have nothing. All the canned tones that came with my Mogul work fine. This only happened after I added the HTC plugin and customizer. TIA

Mine does the same thing. Running 2.17 ROM and no HTC home or Phone alarm. But it doesn't always do it.
