Temporary Internet files on a Storage Card???
Does anyone know a way to change the default location of the Temporary internet files (in IE) to the storage card. The reasoning is that I would like to be able to download a file larger than the phones internal memory (such as a 300 MB movie). I tried doing it using Memmaid, but it would not let me connect to the internet when the storage card was the location for the temporary internet files. I've also tried the Registry changed that worked on previous models (WM5) but was unable to do so, due to a change in file locations. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Bump. Same issue.....

can't you use s-k tools to set that? I am pretty sure you can.
I use my extended rom for storing my cache, no IE issues that way. And if I need to dl something big like that I do a save as to the card... |
What nuguy said. You should be able to save as to the memory card and download as much as the card can handle.

It should be that way, but when you download and specify the storage card as the location, it still stores the downloaded part in your temporary internet files.
Also, I've used SK-Tools to change the location to the storage card, verified that the settings took affect in the registry, and soft reset the device. WHen it rebooted, I verified that the settings were still in place and tried downloading. It still saved the files to the main memory while the files were downloading. You can see this for yourself. Try downloading something large, then go to the devices' memory and watch it slowly decrease. |
