Secure conversations

On My Mogul phone app there is an unlocked padlock. I've never seen it locked I assume its for secure conversations. How can I enable it. Not that I have anything special to say but it sounds cool

I think it's up to compatible equipment.

LOL, it's to lock the buttons on your phone from being accidentally pressed

I don't get the joke. All Sprint phones have the ability to secure conversations due to their interference with local security. I'm not referring to device lock in Windows Mobile. I'm referring to the security option in the phone app.. It's a picture of a phone with a padlock.
Constructive comments are always appreciated

As far as I know, it isn't supported by Sprint (the feature is called Voice Privacy). A search on Google shows anecdotal evidence that CDMA security/encryption is already good enough that the extra layer provided by Voice Privacy adds very little.

You can turn the icon off in the phone settings menu.

As for leaving it on, I do with my 6700 and it doesent seem to make a difference at all... So I don't think you would see a performance drop with it left on too...
