Lock the screen when I push the power button?
 

New to the Mogul, and I have searched all over the phone, but can't find a setting to lock the screen when I push the power button, to go into sleep mode. There is the option to lock the buttons, but I want when I hit the power button to go into sleep mode, when I bring the phone out of sleep mode, I want to hit the "Unlock" button on the screen. Not hit the power button, push the unlock soft key button, then press unlock on the screen. My treo 700wx was able to do that through the keyboard lock.

have you tried s2u2? the new version 2.0 just came out yesterday.

If you want a locking program that just give you the basic built in lock function when you turn off your phone, here's one called OnLock: http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/582364-post23.html

Worked PERFECTLY on my Mogul. Haven't tried it on my Pro, tho.

I just saw an app on pocketpcfreeware.mobi that will allow you to change the function of the power button. I believe that it wil work on any ppc. I think it is fairly new so if you go to that site you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. Sounds like just what you were looking for.

That can already be done by placing a shortcut to the program in the \Windows directory named Short_Power.lnk

I've tried placing a shortcut with this name in \windows directory on my diamond and can't get this to do anything. I've read it elsewhere, but never tried it before. have you?

Personally I have not done the short power trick but I can confirm Long_Power.lnk works on my Pro
