problems sending out gmail messages

lately, i keep getting an error messag while trying to send outgoing email messages in gmail.

this is the exact error:

"the message(s) could not be sent. check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. then try sending again".

i get incoming email fine. and i do have network connectivity.

and sometimes it says i have 8 unread emails, but when i check those messages are read already...very odd!

ok, let me get 2 things clear up:

a) im not using gmail mobile
b) im not using gmail via web browser

i am,however, using the gmail/yahoo email feature (built in) that's under the Messaging.

keep in mind, i am able to receive incoming, but unable to send either gmail nor yahoo messages. and was able to send out prior to last week.

Try unchecking use SSL for incoming and outgoing.

Define the ports in the server lines.

pop.gmail.com:995
smtp.gmail.com:465

Check "Outgoing server requires authentication" and "Use the same name and password for sending e-mail".
