P4000 Rom versus Mogul Rom?
 

Hey guys, just check this out and let me know what you think...

I got the P4000, checked out HTC's website...

P4000 Latest Rom version... 2.13.661.2

BUT, looking at the Mogul... Which should be the same thing...

Mogul Latest Rom version... 2.09.651.3

Can someone explain this? I thought they were the exact same phone... Except one is Canadian... and one is US...

Its probably the extras loaded into the ext rom.

Like how it auto-configures itself after a Hard reset to its carriers specific settings and codes.
So telus and sprint get thier own respective Rom upgrades for thier units.

Radio versions are identical, so i suspect im close to it.

Rom version is carrier specific, its possible to have a Greater ROM Rev # while being actually an OLDER OS version than another carrier's ROM.

It was the same deal with the HTC Wizard where there were a great numbers of carrier rom floating around.

does the P4000 version have the Live Search Keyboard bug?

that's what I want to know too, I also ask about the memory leak in their thread, but nobody answered

Version number means nothing between carriers. One company's new version might still be older than another company's old version

my mogul has CE OS 5.2.1238 (Build 17745.0.2.3)

what does the P4000 have?
