Wifi uses for PPC6800

Hey, I picked up one of these phones and I had my girlfriend pimp it up for me Touch2D and so on. But I'm having issues with the WIFI. I want to know if you can actually use your wifi in your house for browsing and such so you dont need to always use the data from your actual phones SP? I try adding in my network, and it connects then says Avalable, but it always seems to use the ISP to connect anyways. Sorry for the dumb question I'm quite the noob :)

Usually that has to do with the encryption on your wireless router. Make sure you are using the same encryption...ie WEP, WPA...on your phone. Also, depending on your router, mixed mode is the best setting on the router to ensure a connection. Hope this helps.

is your router set to block certain IP addresses. I set mine up to be when I originally set up my network, just had to add my phone IP. Before I added it, it would connect also but not actually be usable.
