Re: Anyone else missing their first couple rings?

I tried this.
I tried 1,2 and 7 and it didn't make a difference. phone usually picked up on the 3rd ring.
switching it to 0, however did make it pick up consistently on the 2nd ring.

try using a hard line phone, not another cell phone or wireless phone.
i have an IP phone at work I used to test it with...and it worked, all the time, everytime.

you gotta remember, if your making the test call from another cell then you have to consider its SCI as well...variables children!

from a landline to my cell and SCI = 1 it had no difference from 5 or 4 or 3 or 2.

2-3 rings every time. EVERY TIME.

Dunno what to tell you. It is inconsistent with the rest of the tests. there is another variable keeping you from achieving this obviously. What that variable is, i have no idea. but apparently several people are affected by it.

Maybe you should try changing your ACCOLC under NAM settings to a lower number as well. If you are on 5 or 6 or something along those lines than maybe other phonecalls in the network are going through before yours is? Just an idea it may not do a thing but i have mine on 0 and its works much better even with my sci on 2. Maybe placebo but my phonecalls come thru much quicker

Longtime lurker, first time poster.

I did the edit as stated on the first page of this thread, and for me changing the SCI to 1 has either yielded the cell phone ringing on the second ring constantly. It rings on the first ring if I removed the ringtone and used something stock.

That's my subjective observation right here from sunny Los Angeles, variables dependent also.

or you guys can call sprint cust. care and have them give u an extended ring time. it wont fix the whole delay issue but it will insure that u do get ur calls b4 they get sent to voicemail. cuz ive had the same problem where people call me and 2-3 rings into the call my phone'll start ringing which means ive got about another 2rings b4 it goes to voicemail. i know there is such a thing cuz i work for sprint. (retail store, not tech support or customer service)

Re: Anyone else missing their first couple rings?

If SCI doesn't do it for you, try flashing a stock ROM with no extra software and see if that fixes it. If it does, then you know its something you have installed or a system setting you have changed that is causing it.

If the problem is still there with a fresh ROM,then its probably something else like the phone, your location or maybe even something on your account.
