Activesync won't backup my gmail pop3 account.

Does anyone know why?
I need to transfer the account and emails easily on my 6800 to another 6800 but activesync will not back it up.

active sync isnt a backup utility thats why.. its a synchronization utility

it will only sync e-mail accounts stored in outlook
