Multiple Push Accounts???

Is it possible to add more than one push email account on the Mogul. I already have one that I have to use for work and would like to have a personal one as well that is kept seperate from work.

Is this possible???

If you are talking about ActiveSync DirectPush with an Exchange Server than no it isnt. You can only have one ActiveSync connection per device.

Now if you are talking about a POP email account or a hotmail account or a gmail account then yes it is. For POP mail you just set up the new account (need to know POP and SMTP server info, user id and pass etc) and you are done. If you have a hotmail account, just download the MS Mobile app and use it to sync with your hotmail account. You can do the same with Gmail but it is a Java applet that will install there and it doesnt update as new mail comes in but when you open the app and download it.

Yeah I was hoping to add another email account that would not need to POP, I like having the mail pushed thru instantly and get notified of it.
As far as I know POP only happens on a certain interval, now yeah I could POP every minute but I don't want to have to do that.

Anything I can do??

Might be possible... try this:

You might be able to do this, but not without making some registry changes. I was unable to sync to mail2web.com account and my work PC without flipping a bit in the following registry key:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\En ableNonLocalCrossPollinaÂÂ*tion]
= (DWORD) 1

it should be set to 0 as default, change it to 1 and then try to add the 2nd exchange server. I didn't have to soft reset for the changes to take effect.

Please let me know if that worked for you. Apparently, MS decided that they didn't want corporate exchange information possibly getting sync'd to other exchange servers, so they set this option to disabled.

Thanks,
Nick

Naa, this doesn't do what we need it to do which is have 2 Outlook accounts syncing at the same time or when we want.

Thanks for trying but that did not seem to work. I am using Groupwise Mobile Server which has it's own email client but also seems to sync with Outlook. I am ale to add Mail2Web as an Activesync server but it combines my Groupwise with my Mail2web which is not what I want.

I am willing to use a different app. I tried Flexmail but you have to leave it open in the background and it takes up several megs of valuable system memory.

Keep the ideas coming!!!!

IMAP4 is another route if your office will support it.

Doesn't IMAP pull instead of push???? I wanted to be able to get the email's quickly but not suck up my battery. If I set it to poll every minute wouldn't that drain my battery even if there are no emails to get. At least with push if I only get one email every couple of days the battery drain should be minimal and I would get the emails right away.

Maybe I am asking too much
