Problems with my 6800

So I recently flashed my 6800 myself and got everything working perfectly. However, the device has been erratically hanging and forcing me to soft reboot, as all other buttons become functionless and the OS halts. This usually happens after I've made a call, and sometimes when I'm going to create a text message. Other times it happens for what seems like no reason.
I have considered the notion that I foolishly packed too many programs into my ROM and this is adversely affecting performance in the form of conflicts that are causing the device to hang. I'm going to reflash the phone with a minimum of programs in the ROM and see if that helps, but I was curious for input from y'all Geeks to see if anyone has had similar problems.
I've heard a few negative reviews regarding the device hanging and requiring reboots, so hopefully this isn't that end of the problem.

Thanks in advance,

M.

How much memory do you have free while it is working "ok"?
Start>Settings>System Tab>Memory
Do you leave programs running when your done "looking" at them? It may be they are still running in the background. You need to goto task manager and close them down when your done w/ them.

Definitely sounds like a low memory problem.

That's most likely my problem. I'm reflashing tonight, so I'll know in an hour or so.

Thanks all!

it is memory, remember the mogul has 64 mb of ram.... is gonna cramp up as you keep put in more app or plugins, like the fellow geeker told you check your task manager to close those programs...
there is an app that automatically free memory as you use your device but dont remember the name as of right now but check with other members
hope this help....

:violent2:Yup, had the same type of problem with my old mogul. Crammed to many programs into it and gave it a nervous breakdown. Like was said in earlier post, lighten up the programs and you should be fine. Remember it doesn't take alot to use up 64MB and if you are running a theme those can eat up alot of MB.
