Today Screen Edit
 

In order to add a new item for the Today screen (under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\TODAY) would I basically need a CAB file to do it or is there something I can do on my own?

I would like to add Google Maps to my Today screen, or shortcut to Live Search (the one with maps/movies.etc., not the one already available on to Today screen that just searhes the web). Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry if this has been asked before, I didnt see any threads in my search dedicated to this issue.

The programs need to have a today screen plugin, both of which you mentioned do not. You can add a shortcut to the start menu for each or if you have an application launcher google claunch of check out iLauncher at http://www.sbsh.net/products/ilauncher/
