Email Empty after soft reset
 

I've looked everywhere for a solution to this but I cant find one. Whenever I do a soft reset on my phone all of my messages are gone (email and sms). I downloaded a trial of FlexMail 4 and it shows the messages still there but the built in messaging program wont see them. I dont want to use FlexMail because it doesnt interface with the Spb Phone Suite. Any one have any ideas.

Well some HTTP mail like Hotmail wont work with the OEM software on the device. So I use Seven Beta from www.seven.com as it pulls all my mail and does not lose it after a soft reset. You may also want to try it out.

Actually, now Hotmail does pop3, so you can use it with the OEM.

Yes but dont they want something like $25 a year to POP thier mail?

No, it's available with their free accounts now too.

To set it up, do this:

1. Fill in your e-mail address: youremail@.com (be sure to leave out the hotmail or live part and do not automatically find settings)
2. Put whatever name you want in there along with the account name
3. Incoming mail server: pop3.live.com
4. Enter your username i.e. youremail@live.com or hotmail.com and password
5. Outgoing SMTP mail server: smpt.live.com
6. Set your download frequency and go.

THX for the info, is it "pushed" to you automatically or do you manually have to S&R?

You can set up S/R frequency as you like.

Wait, I thought Windows Live/Hotmail supported free push that's integrated into the pocket outlook and Windows Live Mobile. I remember using it for a while too. Did something change?
