trying to update to wm6.1
 

i followed the instructions here one updating to windows mobile 6.1 and now i am stuck on the "ppcgeeks and ppckitchen.org present" boot screen.. when using the buildos prog the first time i didnt notice to change it from gps to no gps but i went back and changed that and reloaded the rom and it still is stuck at the same boot screen...........can anyone help me out here? this also is the ppc6800 from us cellular but its a phone thats not hooked up i got a new one so this is jsut one i am practicing things on

Check you radio version. Needs to be at least 3.XXX

i had to take out battery just to turn off phone.. how would i go about checking the radio verson and changing it if i have to when the boot screen is stuck?

ok it says its is version 1.64 or something really old like that so how do i go about getting a new updated version so i can boot the new rom onto my phone!?????

This'll get your radio updated. take your time, it worked fine for me.

updating the radio worked and the phone now boots.. the phone that i have been playing around with and creating new roms for is my old on that is no longer activated.. when i am in the kitchen building a rom i always select uscellular as the carrier but when i update the rom and turn on the phone it shows the carrrier as cellsouth? does this matter because i want to update my 6800 that is activated to one of the roms that i have created.. i just want to be sure that thee phone is going to work if i update it!
