touchFLO working on Mogul
 

I just saw this post over at xda

It is possible as WideAwake got it to work on his as he mentioned in another post. However, he was not able to reproduce his results after a hard reset. It's possible to get it to work, but it may not be easy until someone puts it in a nice cab format for the 6800.

yea I managed to get it to work, but it was like how it works on the hermes. buttonFLO not touchFLO. Use button to change sides instead of finger. I could not duplicate my success and have no idea what's different. So I have not released, still working on it tho. I bet whoever done this is gonna have issues with making it work after a hard reset. But I got my fingers crossed :) cuz I've tried everything I could think of.

oh.. buttonflo.. yeah the directions are out there but buttonflo isn't really of interest to a lot of us. touchflo on the other hand...

Wideawake, the xda guy said the Today Audio manager plugin was causing him trouble. is it possible it was also causing the same problem for you? :D

In theory if the flicker contacts program was possible shouldn't it also be possible to do this? using a plugin perhaps

bitslizer it actually worked for me with that plugin installed....not to sure what it is. waiting to see what this guy came up with. :D

needless to say, we're all waiting to see that the OP came up with over on xda ... :?

He posted a video on YouTube and it appears to be ButtonFLO rather than TouchFLO. Still cool though.

Yeah that is dissapointing, although, It still looks cool, Thats exactly how my phone looks right now, except no buttonFLO and I have the agile messenger plugin running too.

I'm disappointed it doesn't work by gestures too, but I still think it's pretty cool. Hopefully he'll post instructions on how he got it working, no details yet.

Just finished setting it up working perfectly on mine

Yeah I just saw that. I just kicked off a backup and once it's done I'll try installing.

Edit: I can't get it working. All I get is a black screen. When I press the button that should turn to the next side of the cube I get a beach ball which makes me think it's doing something, but it's not displaying anything. Ugh...

Yeah please post a tutorial outlining exactly what you installed and what you did.

I tried the tutorial he linked to this weekend as I found that same post. However, it did not work for me. I just got the black screen when I would run it.

I GOT IT WORKING!!!!!

Here are my steps.

1. Hard Reset (I was having some trouble with my device and figured that this would be a good time to start fresh)
2. Install the alpha cab found here
3. Soft reset
4. Delete the bio.lnk in 'Windows/Startup' folder
5. Installed Total Commander (for registry editor)
6. Delete the reg file in 'HKLM/Software/HTC/Biotouch/Biotouch ver'
7. Mapped TouchFLO to the Button 5 hardware button.
8. Soft Reset
9. Navigate 'Start > Programs > TouchFLO' and click on TouchFLO
10. Navigate to '\Windows\Biotouch.exe' and click on Biotouch.exe
11. I then hit Button 5 and it started!!!!!

Only problem I have run into is once you soft reset, you need to repeat steps 9 thru 11 in order to get it working again. I tried playing with creating shortcuts in 'Windows\Startup' but was unable to get it to run automatically. Any ideas?

Yeah, I really don't want to do a hard reset right now. I've already done one and had to reinstall everything and I have my Mogul set up and working pretty well. Maybe I'll wait until the next time I need to do a hard reset and then give it a try.

Also, did you do the ROM update?

I do have the latest ROM installed...

AND IF YOU GET THE BLACK SCREEN make sure u soft reset while u r in the black screen
after boot worked like charm

I didn't hard reset at all.

Remove the wmp today app,

also if after it works once it stops working and gives you the beachball open biotouch again,
i put a shortcut to biotouch.exe in my start menu programs folder so i could make it a single click from the start menu instead of going back into file explorer.

the main issue with black screening seems to be that plugin i uninstalled mine and it worked fine but before i uninstalled it it wouldn't work at all

some other programs may conflict with it as well so try uninstalling and reinstalling anything you can afford to easily uninstall

nope no luck... black screen.... just flashed to new rom and reinstalled everything, not feeling like going through a hard reset again :(

and this def wont work on wm5?

it was working for me before, but after installing more programs, it doesnt work anymore. i think it could have been the dialpad skin or the CommManager from the kaiser that did it, but i'm not sure. any ideas?

i cant get it to work period so i dunno what to tell neone :(

I noticed that when I started to install programs, it stopped working. It might be the HTC comm manager, but I don't know for certain.

I noticed when you open the phone to expose the keyboard and type a text message, TouchFLO stops working. When I press button 5, I just get the beach ball and then nothing happens. If I run the biotouch.exe again it seems to bring it back. Sometimes I notice that it just stops working by itself and I get the black screen. It would be nice if someone would find a fix for this. It's a sweet program. I have it installed with the HTC kaizer home plug, HTC Kaiser Comm Manager, HTC Kaizer Audio Manager, and the TouchFLO dial pad. So far everything works fine except for the TouchFLO problems that we all keep running into.

i ve had it working for 2 days it was cool but
its not stable so i unninstalled
its not worth it as of right now so we ll wait till they make it more stable..........
i hope someone will .........................
or maybe once we start getting custom roms someone will built it in the rom ..... at least thats how they got it to fully work with the wizard

any news on this working yet?
