Email problem, unable to create new account

I've been searching all over, and maybe I'm using the wrong terms, so forgive me if this is somewhere obvious.

But I have a Mogul and I want to set it up with IMAP email account, when I go into mail and then click "New Account" nothing happens, no new dialogs, nothing, it just sits at the same screen. I tried going to Tools / Options and then it lists my accounts...

Text, Outlook, Windows Live, New Account....

So I click new account in there, same thing, the screen flashes quickly and then nothing happens, I end up on the same screen.

Anyone have any suggestions? This is very strange. I can sync with windows without any issues, everything else seems to work great.

where would we check in the registry to see email accounts?

Is there a real fix for this problem, aside from a reset..? Anyone?

I had the same problem with that at one point i couldent create a new e mail and i couldent even send or recieve texts. but all i did was hard reset and that seemed to fix it. if that doesnt work try reflashing it. the option of text messaging didnt even show up. so try that, that would be my suggestion.

I've been resetting and/or reflashing(updating) to get around the issue, but that's not a REAL solution. ](*,)

Who are your service providers and what ROM are you using. Maybe some more information will illicit a responce?

My carrier is Verizon.

I'm currently using the kitchen's ROM for WM6.1, but I had the *exact* same problem with the WM6 ROM.

Since you've tried hard resetting, reflashing, etc, maybe you should contact Verizon and see about a replacement phone.

It is a problem with the ROM not the phone itself. It is in no way a hardware problem.

I can only set up e-mail accounts shortly after a hard reset or reflash. Once the mail has been used for some time, I am unable to create new e-mail accounts or modify existing ones.

Doesn't seem like it would be an issue with the rom, since it does it on every rom you put on the phone and no one else using those roms has the same problem.

Why dont u try going back to the stock wm5 rom and c if it persists at that level...then you will know the answer if it is the phone or the rom

A google search reveals that other people are having the same problem on *completely* different phones, running WM6 or WM6.1.
