Contact no longer works!?
 

I installed the new Resco beta contaxt manager and it didn't work so I uninstalled. Now my stock wm6.1 contact program doesn't work - it gives the following:

"The file ':RPMContacts' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file."

I have no clue what to do from here.

Ideas?

Try reinstalling, softreset, then remove.

thanks but that didn't work - same error message - the actual contacts are still there as I have another 3rd party contact program which shows them.. It's the OEM contact program which seems to be gone I guess. Can't imagine what this Resco Contact Manager could have done?

I've attached the screen shot of the error message.

when installed - it changes the contacts.lnk to target the Resco program - so I guess my fix is to retarget the contacts.lnk to the proper file - when Resco Con. Mgr. beta uninstalls it changes the target to :RPMContacts which produces the error message.

Does anyone know the name and location of the Contacts program file which comes stock with this Mogul WM6.1 and which contacts.lnk should call up?

The default contact manger is microsoft outlook. Sounds like you need to use SKtools to search and remove a bad registry entry. Check out the Software Forum stickies for a link to download.

I've ran into the same problem.
After finding the registry entry, i've deleted RPM - but still unable to open contacts.
it now says: The file ':MSCONTACTS' cannot be opened, either it is not signed or one of its components cannt be found.
i've also changed the registry value of Contacts from 0 to 1, but to no avail.
Any thoughts please??
