Problem playing video's
I moved some video's from my PC to my Mogul. When I try to play the videos I get a popup saying "There is no application associated... Run the application first, then open this file from within the application"
How do I do that? Sorry, but I'm reallllll new at this! |
I'm not sure, b/c I'm 'kind of' new, as well....but do you have Windows Media Player open first? You have to make sure that you have the app that plays your movies open, then go to 'Open' or "Library' from that application.
Sorry if you already knew this... It was the only thing I could think of... -Touche' |
I've usually gotten that message if the video I'm trying to play has an exstention like .asf or .mov. As far as I know, Windows Mobile Media Player doesn't play Quicktime Movies (.mov).
Also, I occasionally have gotten that message if the codec on my movie was something media player didn't understand, like a divx or xvid encoded movie. |
Yeah... Didn't think of that. I'm not sure if this will work, but you could always try using TCPMP. It's free, and it seems to play just about everything.

happened to me a few times. you might need more codecs. i forget where i downloaded them. i think from the tcpmp website.
hows your video quality? mine is pretty bad, esp in landscape. |
They're just MPG or MPEG files... I tried opening Windows Mobile Media Player first, moving them to Windows Mobile Media Player... everything
