What does "Available RAM on boot" string do?

I was just glancing through my registry and noticed a string within "HKCU/Performance" called "Available RAM on boot". Mine's set to 20320256.

Anybody have any clue what this string does? I'd play with it, but I'm at work and not in the mood to be without a working phone before I can get home to reinstall all my stuff. Has anyone tried messing with this?

the 23 value is decimal the 16 value is hex. they both are the same

EDIT: i attempted to change the value, waited a minute, soft reset, and the device changed it back to default

I noticed after a soft reset that the figure was completely different. I'm guessing this is a variable that simply reports what the available memory was when the system started up.

Too bad. I was hoping I had uncovered a piece of the missing memory puzzle.
