enabling voice dial
 

i have a new car bluetooth system and i cant get the voice command to work., can someone tell me how to make sure the voice dial is enabled on my mogul?

I beleive you have to buy MSVC because voice command is not included.

On the left side of the phone, under the scroll wheel and the "ok" button is a second button with a litle speech bubble for an icon. By default that button is mapped to the voice command software. If you've loaded a custom ROM, it may not be installed. If you want to verify the presence of the program tap Start>Settings and you should see Voice Command there. If it is, go to the Buttons icon and make sure that it's mapped to a button on the phone.

I know that the Sprint 6800's ship with the software. I'm not sure about Verizon or anyone else.

My Mogul did not come with Voice Command. It has voice speed dialing, but you have to setup the tags by recording a name such as "work" and associating a phone number with it. I think you can also create voice tags to open applications. I have about a dozen voice tags recorded and backed up for my most used numbers.

You're right. It's not the Voice Command that it comes with, so I guess the question would be did he cook his own ROM and include it or did he buy it? Either way, he should try to map it to a button. I hate having to record those tags. The newer version in the kitchen doesn't require recorded tags.

I'm trying to remember if there was a prompt to setup the speed dialing the first time. You can find it under settings/personal. I found the mechanical sounding voice in MSVC difficult to understand.
