Vibrate Rattles the heck out of the phone
Anyone else notice that the vibrate on the phone causes the top and bottom half to rattle at an incredibly loud rate? When I receive a text, I have it set to vibrate and a tone, I can't hear the tone since it vibrates so loud.
The vibrate and ring feature also sucks if you have a long ring tone because instead of vibrating on and off, it vibrates the entire duration of the song. That's a lot of vibrates in one sentence. |
I notice this too, the vibrate is louder than the ringer. So much for getting a notification conspicuously....

Well just after i posted this i found a fix!
Do a registry edit on this HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VIB STRENGTH_LOW set to 1. muuuuuuch better :) |
kick a$$...very nice. I got the raised eye brow from my boss during a meeting while having a string of emails come in. I'll have to give this shot.

Nice hack! How did you find it?

I was actually just poking around and stumbled across it. Even with it sent to low strength, its still defiantly noticeable when it goes off, but isn't nearly as overkill as it was stock.

Thanks a lot! Now I need not worry about my phone scaring any animals away anymore :)

dddduuuuuuuuuuuudde. Nice

Funny I wish the vibration on my 6700 was more violent. I hope to one day upgrade to the Mogul. Knowing that the vibration is strong makes me happy. I have an hearing impairment and it would be nice to feel the vibration when I know I won't be able to hear the ringtone. As it stands if I have the phone in my bag I seldom hear the phone ring espeically if I am out doors. But if it had a strong vibration I would be sure to feel it. Thanks for this info.

I wish it wasn't 3 short vibes... and it was 2 longer ones... I never feel it in my pocket when I am doing anything but sitting, or it is on my desk.
