Is my 6800 dead?
I got a Sprint 6800 yesterday, used.
Radio was 1.47 I loaded olipro 1.20 I used the newest version of the kitchen to create and load a new ROM. From that point, it wouldn't boot past the splash screen. I can still get into bootloader mode, but it doesn't matter what ROMs I loaded (tried a few that I know work on my other 6800) SO I said hell with it and downloaded the newest factory ROM (found it here in the site :D ) during the RUU, it gets to 11%, restarts the phone into bootloader mode and the RUU errors out, sending it in to the recovery so it can start all over again. I have seen one stock bootloader, but it requires the phone to be running. I am thinking the best course would be to get a it relocked and load the most recent HTC/Sprint ROM.. But I'm stuck. One further note. When the factory RUU crapped out it took the radio with it.. It pops up as 'No Radio' during its still freez[ing boot cycle. I can get to the current bootloader, so I don't think it is bricked, but I sure as hell don't know how to fix it. I can usually find my answers by using the search, but not this time. Thanks for any help. |
Re: Is my 6800 dead?
Update.
I now have it running its stock 2.17 ROM. I managed to get it running and reset the SPL to stock as well. seems to run ok, but the power button only seems to turn the screen off.. doesn't turn it back on :S Oh well.. Couple steps closer. Just downloaded a nice fresh copy of 3.56 from HTC. Going to give it another go. |

More updates:
Mostly just documenting my journey at this point in case it is helpful to someone else. I finally loaded the HTC 3.56 ROM and got the radio upgraded. It failed and went through the recovery process 4-5 times though, so maybe patience is what its all about  Going to attempt a new build using the most recent kitchen release now. Wish me luck! |
Re: Is my 6800 dead?
You want Olipro 2.40. I don't know why everyone wants 1.20?

Re: Is my 6800 dead?
have you ever tried pulling the battery & another hard-reset after it freezes after a flash?
|
Re: Is my 6800 dead?
I wish Olipro 1.2 was removed! USE 2.40, update radio to 3.xx then flash a ROM.
