Voice Ringer...
 

Does anyone know of a program that will give the Mogul Voice Ringer. I am coming from a Sanyo MM-9000, and it was setup that when I got a call or text message it would announce the caller with a computer generated voice, mixed with a ringer..

So...

Ring Ring ... Call From (computer saying voice) ... Ring Ring...

I heard Microsoft Voice Command was suppose to do this, but I did not see this as an option even after tagging each contact.

MS VC does indeed do it. However, it does not come on the Mogul, we have some other application... you'd need to get VC and install it on the Mogul.

My 700wx came with VC 1.5 pre installed and that's the way I had it set up... love that feature. Although I think it only does it for phone calls, no texts or e-mails.

I installed VC 1.6 on the phone. But then never could find any settings for it. So I dont know if what they put on overrides the VC or just conflicts with it.

Maybe we need to figure out how to remove what is there, and then install VC. :)

VC works great on mine. the settings are in the Settings area. You can have it announce the incoming caller through BT. You can also have it read the incoming text messages and emails through the BT headset.

Is there anyway to make it announce the caller through the normal speaker? As I only use my Headset when in the car. At the office, its was nice to have my phone on my desk, and when a call came in, it allowed me to screen the calls without having to run over to the phone....

It'll announce on the headset IF the headset is on, however, if the BT headset is off it should announce it during the regular ringing.

I thought the bug was that if you voice dialed a contact and confirmation was on, VC would never finish dialing the number.

Is there another bug I'm unaware of? I have not kept up 100% with the VC issue... too many things to post/moderate :oops:

Yes appears there are two bugs, Its only announces through the BT headset....

Guess we have to wait for VC 1.7 :-)
