Newbie so be easy....

Need a little help with something as I am new here I have two things that I’m looking for answers on. One is I update to the 6.1 worked fine for like a week or so then I did a soft reset and got the dreaded red, green white screen that would not go away for anything. After a few days I plugged the phone in the outlet took the battery out for like 10 or 15 secs then slapped the battery back in then it loaded. That was just an FYI for people that had/has that problem… try and see if that works for you.. worked 2x’s for me. My question is thought would it be safe to load 6.1 again knowing there's something wrong with the loader? 2. I want to tether my phone to my computer for Internet is there a tethering for dummies 101 around or is it as simple as going to internet sharing and connecting that way? I also want to do some tweaks (adjust screen res) I was reading in the background but what can I use (free) to edit that?

You can flash as many times as you like or want. Many of us do more more than often.

Ive never tethered so I cant comment on this. Sorry.

There is an app called Advanced Configuration Tool. Download it and install it to the device and use it. It is basically reg edits in GUI form.

Don't think there is much you can do for the screen resolution. That is built into the hardware.
