Getting rid of scroll bars on Today screen
if i have too much stuff to view at one time on the today screen, i get the dumb scroll bars on the side. how do you get rid of them? thanks
um, reduce the number of plugins you have on the today screen
but besides that? i dont mind scrolling with the d-pad thru the today screen. i just want to keep that many there.
There is no other way.
Well, you could lock the top several apps in position and have it only scroll on the bottom portion of the today screen. would this be an option?
yea it would be. how do you do that?
Go into the registry and change the "Type" from 4 to 5 on whichever plugins you want to lock. You will probably want to put them in order first from the top down.
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\"WhicheverPlugin"] |
ok. and only do this to a few? what would happen if i did it to all of them? would that be bad?
dunno, doubt it would work for all of them
You could also use an app like SK Tools to make the scrolling bars thinner.
thanks for the help guys
or something like spb mobile shell or pocketbreeze to have tabs. All your today plugins are active, just hidden until you touch the tab you want.
or just use a registry tweak to make the scroll bars thinner. i hate the default setting and use 7 for all of them which is just large enough to easily use your stylus or fingernail.
1) Go to HKey_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE\ 2) Adjust the following values cyHScr : Horizontal Scrollbars Height in pixels (default is 13) cxVScr : Vertical Scrollbars Width in pixels (default is 13) 3) Soft-reset Extras: cxHScr : Horizontal Scrollbars Width in pixels (default is 20) cyVScr : Vertical Scrollbars Height in pixels (default is 20) |
