Re: keyboard backlight

That TP BNIB I sent you the PM on only sold for $153. By the time the 3rd Qrt gets here there will already be new phones out, LOL.

I'm not sure if this will help.

Try going to settings/personal/buttons/backlight and un-checking the keyboard backlight auto sensor [strange place to put this setting]. This will cause the keyboard backlight to come on every time you open the keyboard regardless of the abmient light.

If the backlight auto sensor has gone bad this should eliminate the problem.

I just picked up a used Mogul and this fixed my problem with the backlight not coming on. Thanks!

since im not so nice to my mogul.... could something have come undone in the internals? does anyone have a link to a good guide to disassembling the mogul? I googled but nothing useful came up... it might just be the way I searched. any help is greatly appreciated.

had this very same problem a couple months ago and finally had to take it into a sprint store and something was lose insode of the phone. It was repaired while I waited and it has been working fine since the repair. The only drawback to this is any program installed has to be reinstalled. Does not backup automatically when you sync to your computer.

No chevy part of their repair process was and most of the time is to do a hard reset. Taking apart a phone and putting it back together has nothing to do with the software or the rom installed on the phone as long as you don't go de-soldering the chips from the phone and put different ones in their place u should not loose any info off your phone by taking it apart, as long as you don't miss place your storage card in the tear down madness
