Any way to set all HTML picture e-mails to autodownload?
WHen I get an HTML e-mail it always says picture blocked so I have to manually download it. I'd just assume have them all pass as I already have Antivirus running on the server and I would delete any questionable e-mails which are already blocked on the server by anti-spam.

I would love to know this as well. I tried looking in every setting to disable the picture blocking. It seems though that if you download a picture from a sender, it always downloads them.

I think the whole HTML mail thing ONLY works with when the mail source is an EX2007 server on the back-end. I have an EX2007 server and all my mail is HTML and comes out automatically.

I think that is correct.... You will have to download the pics everytime unless it is being synced with an exchange server running 2007. mysmartphone will be upgraded to 07 by the end of the summer as they are beta testing it now, so I can't wait. I do like the HTML feature alot. I used to use FlexMail just for that purpose. I do notice that I get the physical memory low when I am browsing an HTML email with alot of pics...... that is annoying.

@dmackdaddy
The issue is not with receiving HTML emails, but with Internet pictures embedded in the HTML. It's a security or privacy feature of WM6 apparently as you get a hyperlink that states"Internet pictures blocked". It would be nice if someone could figure out how to make it automatically download pictures. I am connected to an Exchange 2007 server as well. If the email is HTML, but doesn't have Internet linked pics, it will display in HTML without an issue. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...c_capture1.jpg |
dmack, I am running Exchange 2007 - you get some HTML formatting but go ahead and get a quote from Dell (I'm sure you do that on a regular basis) some pictures will say blocked you have to download them.

Yeah, I see what you're talking about. These are Spam protection features from Outlook. There is probably something in the registry to make these auto-download. I can't find any obvious switches yet - but still looking.

who are you guys using for exchange running 2007?

e-dub - I don't want to side track this thread but will be happy to discuss this with you in another thread or you can PM me and I can go into details if you have anything in particular you want to know - I'm sure others would as well in a differen thread. I believe there is already a thread along those lines started by yourself. Either way feel free to PM.
I believe most of us set up our own exchange 2007 servers and don't use an external service to provide exchange 2007. |
I use 123together.com for 2007, and i would LOVE to not have to click !2! warnings!
Thanks |
