Wanting to edit a file in the /Windows Directory but...
I am using the HTC Touch HomePlugin and want to edit the HH_0409_Weather XML file and add Orlando, FL to the listed cities. So, I've copied the file to my desktop, made the necessary changes and when I goto copy it over the unedited on my Mogul I get a Denied error. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

You need to edit the properties of the original file and remove the Read Only attribute.
At least that's how I did it and it worked for me. I'm from O-Town/Mickey Land too BTW :D |
The copy on your phone is read only. Use Resco or the file browser of your choice to remove the read only attribute. Then you can overwrite it. You could probably just move the original somewhere else as well.

Awesome, thanks guys. I had the read only changed on the desktop copy, but I had to use Resco to copy it back.
And yeah, O-town.. Lucky for me, I live in Casselberry so I'm away from all the tourist spots but I did live by Sea World for a while... ::shrugs:: And I'll take any suggestions on which Sprint store to deal with, the one on Red Bug Lake and Tuskawilla SUCKS! |
I haven't dealt with stores in a long while... last one I went to was the one by the Millenia mall to get my 700wx.
