Does an AIM app 'bog' down the mogul?
I was talking to a good friend and she said that's exactly what happens.

Re: Does an AIM app 'bog' down the mogul?
"bog" as in use up a lot of memory? There's several programs that I use that work pretty good. I'm currently using Slick and that's working out really good for me. My friend uses beejive and swears by it. There's also Palringo, but I haven't used that recently. They use to be good, but the thing about them is that they connect through their server to the IM's server so if their server is down (which was too often for me) then your IMs wouldn't go though.
Check it out, see what you like. Edit: Accidentally said Agile Messenger when I meant to say Palringo. |

Re: Does an AIM app 'bog' down the mogul?
oh yeah! It was palringo, not agile messenger that I meant in my previous post. Sorry. Palringo's servers were always going down and it was making it so that my IMs couldn't sign on. Bugged the hell out of me.
(I'll fix previous post) |

Re: Does an AIM app 'bog' down the mogul?
i just use the straight AIM Mobile app that they provide. I've used IM+ and others, and was pretty impressed by Mobile AIM. I've never had memory issues at all with it.
