ok, installed 1.6 on WM6 on my 6700.

everything works, including voice dial and commands over bluetooth, confirmations, etc.....

i was checking out this thread to decide whether or not to buy voice command for my mogul. what do you guys think... with all the issues, is it still worth having?

reallyrob 09-17-2007 05:01 AM

YES!!! I love this program! I have used it for 3 years now, with no problems whatsoever, except that I don't get incoming caller ID...but I can live with that.

Just got the Mogul and VC 1.6 is not working correctly. Does anyone have this working 100%

Is there a place I can get the cab file for voic command and install it on my ppc6700? with the upgrade to wm6 it went away!!!

ebmorgan 09-20-2007 08:42 PM

Everything works for me in VC 1.6 without issue.

ebmorgan 09-20-2007 08:43 PM

By default in 1.6 incoming call announcement is turned off. You have to turn it on.

How was it originally installed? If you got it thru Handango you should be able to re-download and install. VC is unavailable as a cab file(LEGALLY) It should still be on your computer as well, but it will be a uninstall/reinstall.

I downloaded the file voicecommandreplacementfiles.zip and extracted the files to my device in the two required directory's, and now my incoming caller announcement is working!! Thanks!

I've tried loading those replacement files to the directory VC is installed to, but get the "file in use" error. What are the two required directories you're talking about? My VC is installed in one directory, so I assume they must be different than the installation directory.

Can anyone tell me how to make VC the default on the phone? so that when i click the button on my headset it opens that and not the stock voice command.

where are you guys getting a settings screen for VC? I swear iv seen it before but cannot get there...

i use a wired headset and when i click the button to use the VC it opens the stock one...
Thanks!

I'm making a cab install. You need to make sure that VC is disabled before you install these file's though. the VoiceCommand_PPC.cpl file goes into Windows Directory, the other three go into the Program Files\Voice Command directory. You should see an overwrite dialog for all 4 files.

I have done the above and it does state the newer ver but it still doesn't work right.

You have to edit your button settings in "Settings"

I guess that's the part I'm missing. How do you disable VC?

I got that, but is there a way to make it the default voice command, so my wired headset doesnt load the stock voice command?
