Before I get too far into this (and really this is my first time developing for WM), wanted to see if anyone interested in this/thinks it will be useful.

If so I could use some help organizing the hacks into logical groups (property pages) and coming up with the settings (ranges of value, default values, etc)

I think it would be great. That way we could click on whichever hacks we want and reverse them if they don't work or if they slow down the phone too much. Much more user friendly. I recall a control panel applet for the wizard that did this a while back. Much more user friendly.

There's a couple of products that do this kind of things for generic PDA devices and generic PDA phones (RegKing doesn't work on this, sadly). I would love to see one targetting the Mogul specifically

I'll start a new thread for this so as not to hijack this one.

Nice work. I don't know if this forum's software has the capability, but there is a feature on other forums that allows the 2nd post to be modified by any member. Fatwallet.com, for example, does this so any user can update details about the deal so others don't have to read the whole post.

Yeah, that would be much better than everyone posting stuff randomly throughout the thread and then someone has to manually go through and add the stuff to the first post. It will make the moderator's job much easier. Definitely something worth looking into.

Factory Registry Dump

I don't have my Mogul yet (should be coming today hopefully) so I can't do this, but I found it very helpful to have a dump of the registry settings on a Factory Reset Mogul so you can see what the registry settings were for a particular item that may have changed because of a tweak or application (or even a new ROM).

When I had my XV6700 I went back to the PPC6700Users board many times to compare my registry with the default.

Thanks,
Geoff
