Way to get GPS working (aGPS fix) without custom ROM?
 

Hi, I'm a noob around here and have been using this site for several weeks and want to say thanks to everyone as I've acquired many great programs and fixes already. However, no matter how hard I look and through several other sites, I cannot find aGPS fix for my Stock ROM Titan. I found this link: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...VerizonAGPSFix but this link for this cab doesn't work! Anyone have the CAB or another solution to get my GPS working with Google Maps/Live Search etc.? I have Verizon and have all the settings correct (location on, COM4, None hardware port, Baud=4800, and manage automatically is on) btw. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, Thank you and happy holidays!

verizon doesnt support the radio wifi on alot of ther phones you should go with sprint

If you are using the Stock Verizon WM6.1 MR1 update you can use the GPSserver cab to fix to use everything stock with MR1. Here it is, I hosted it for you.

Let me get this straight once and for all.....you will not be able to get GPS working on your XV6800 unless you have a data connection correct? I am in an extended network, and have my data connection blocked. I will not be able to use aGPS or GPS correct? Thanks guys!

aGPS and GPS are close and related but still two different things.

Is it correct in saying that to utilize aGPS you need to have a verizon data connection?

Yes. aGPs needs a tower, thus needing a cell data connection.

Sounds good.....one more question, I have a phone plan with Verizion, but not an actually data plan for $29.95 or $44.95. I need one of those correct? Thanks!
