If it really is a programming issue, it would to affect ALL channels. If not, it'd make no sense...

Secondly, I can confirm it as well. Just got off the phone with a level 3 tech regarding my 6700 (wifi is shot again, 3rd phone) so he put notes in for me to get a 6800 when they are available. He said he just got the info that they are being delayed. He heard maybe July but no one knows for sure at this point. He did say they are NOT in the warehouse and they obviously haven't been flashed to WM6 yet.

Thanks for the backup Darth. I assure you this is genuine info. The devices are in warehouse, that is where the problem is. The software problem is preventing them from programming the devices for shipment.

This could mean that they are having problems loading WM6 or that a software used for programming is not working with WM6. Unfortunately they were not too specific.

Thanks for the clarification that they are in the warehouse, makes me feel better about them figuring it out quickly and not having to wait for the device. The 6700 is killing me with the WiFi keeps getting messed up (not to mention the joystick and touchscreen). I just hope they honor the comments the tech left in my screen regarding the 6800 as a replacement.

I don't see how they would honor that note when most of the stores got fresh shipments of 6700's.

Depends on how long ago the issue arose. Like around the time of the first delay in May. If they have corrected the issue on enough phones to cover the projected demand for your direct sales. It makes perfect sense to go ahead and deliver. and delay indirect. instead of delaying both.

It would certainly be out of character for Sprint customer service make sense. But from a customer service standpoint this would certainly be a big hit.

when ur hopes rest on sprint making a good customer service decision outlook is kinda bleek... lol ;)

This seems to have no relation to the qualcom ban though. It seems to be a software issue with the device.

Which warehouse are they in? Checked main Sprint and they don't show any? Are they in the kitting warehouse?

w00t! I have been so passive with this device launch, figured that it will come out when it comes out--and am pleasantly surprised to see it arrive (more or less) on schedule. I'll be calling in first thing tomorrow--buying one for my boss first and if I like it enough I will switch too.

Thanks for the heads up cw0802!

So will you have to be a business acct to get one Monday or anyone? I hope they don't pull the same crap they did with the 6700.
