Re: MMS error messages....

Sdruid,

There's an easy fix for that.

apply this change:

Use your regedit program and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI
Click to open EnableServerEdit and change the key from 0 to 1. Soft reset (if you need).

download SKtools (do a search) and use that to edit the registry.

Thanks,

Matt!

Re: MMS error messages....

Ok, I got MMS installed but I now cannot send any pictures... I can receive just fine. With the server set to port 80, phone only tried 2 seconds to send a picture. I changed to port 9201, and it tried for more than a minute but still no success... Any ideas what is missing now ?

I know I went from a working version of 5.0.31.16 to a newer version and got all kinds of errors. So eventually I went back to my other version which works just fine. What are you VZW MMS server settings as they should be as listed below

Gateway: <leave blank>
Port: 9201 or 80
Server Address: http://mms.vzw.com/servlets/
Connect via: Verizon Wireless (or whatever your #777 Internet Connection is named)
Sending Size limit: whatever choices you have
WAP Version: 2.0

This may have something to do with it. The server address should have MMS on the end.

Here is an example

http://mms.vzw.com/servlets/MMS

I thought about that and tried it but that didn't work either.
What I did try that worked immediately was http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms
that worked great with port 80
my question as far as that is: Is that for text only or for "MMS" since it does say "Vtext"....
After that works I get a different error message: "Originator not found"...but it appears to have sent the picture or mms message...

I just looked in my MMS server settings and I also have hxxp://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms. On the "Originator not found" error, I think I had that in the beginning also. Look at this post here for that fix.
