Text message says 1 unread always!
 

For about the last 2 weeks, my phone says that I have 1 unread text message. I have gone through ALL messages several times and am SURE that there isn't an unread message! I found the registry key that I can change to reflect 0 unread messages, but after resetting the phone, it is back.

Any ideas?

There is a file to fix that but I cant remember the exact name of it. I think it was something like unreadcountfix or something like that. Hopefully someone else will come in and tell you what exactly it is. So dont give up, just be patient a bit more longer.

Tried the program suggested above, but still shows 1 unread text message. It is, however, the threaded SMS program, not just regular text messages.

Any other ideas?

....A brilliant idea or dumb statement follow: Try deleting all your S/MMS and Emails.

I did that as well. STILL shows 1 unread email!

happened to me a couple of times - the only "fix" I came up with was to delete and reinstall my mail accounts.

i too have this problem and need it fixed or im just going to hard reset AGAIN.. and i just got my phone how i want it!!!

im pretty sure it occurred when i deleted an unread text message from inbox and then from deleted items..
