Re: Mogul 2 PSP
It is frowned upon because unless you are paying your carrier for "tethering" you are stealing from them.

Enabled Adhoc on the PSP, but PSP picks up every wifi network except the 1 on the mogul. I would say that itz wmwifi but my laptop is connecting... (Pac Man fade away byte) eeeer reeer reeer reeeer Blip blip I know ppcgeeks cannot b stumped!!!! If you guys know anyone on xda or geektoolbox that can help me I'd appreciate it!!!! |
Re: Mogul 2 PSP
Then if you suspect that its the software go into your wifi network on the mogul and create your own ad-hoc network turn on wifi and connect to it on the mogul then see if your psp picks it up. If it does then delete the one wmwifirouter created (ad-hoc network) do a search for the ics.exe file vers 0.21 ics control is the latest that i know of. in the drop down boxes select
public interface cellular private interface TNETW12511 I have mine set to auto connect to sprint select save in the bottom right then start ics ... no need for wmwifirouter this bypasses the built in connection sharing all together by talking and handling the traffic directly to and from the tc/ip stacks built into windows mobile. Just remeber to stop ics and save b4 u exit. I have this working fine with any device that works with an ad-hoc network. Without ever installing any software as the ics control is just an exe u can drop on the sd card and run from there. |
Re: Mogul 2 PSP
If your WMWifiRouter is up and running, (i.e. Cellular status says "Connected", Wifi status shows your network name, and at the top it says ready), then end the connection (big red button with an "X"), and reconnect. I notice I need to do a second connection to actually get it to work.
In regards to this program being frowned upon, bite me. I pay $50/month for my internet connection at home with speeds at almost 30MB, and more than half that price for Verizons data connection (which gives me only 2MB). If I want to use my data connection to browse the internet with my computer, PSP, or any other wifi device, I'm going to use the data connection I pay too much money for. Go frown upon something more serious. |

Re: Mogul 2 PSP
set upp a network/downloaded ics
Network just says: connecting |
Re: Mogul 2 PSP
it will say that until someone joins the network ... try hopping on it with your laptop then see if the psp sees it. Once its connected with more then just the mogul you won't need to have your laptop connected as well. I have never used a psp with the mogul's wifi so i don't know it could be an issue with the wireless card in the mogul like the chipset thats used. I know my mogul see's belkin routers but won't connect to them. If i try they disappear.

Re: Mogul 2 PSP
how do I connect the network to the mogul after I create it?
|
Re: Mogul 2 PSP
if you created it under the wifi part of settings thats all you need to do
fire up ics and as long as its the only ad-hoc network on your device you will see it as soon as you have wifi on and ics control running .. remeber cellular then TNETW1211 then save then click start ... check the autoconnect so it turns on the data connection for you... once you hit start you should see the network as whatever you named it verify with the laptop to see if its showing up if it is on the laptop and not the psp i'd be willing to bet its a chipset issue. within the mogul that the psp does not like. |
