Can't data roam? (Sprint)
 

Hello all. I've lurked the forums for quite some time, but didn't quite feel at home until I bought a Titan/Mogul the other day. I've wanted this phone for a while, just wanted to wait for a reasonable price. I've had the Q and the Q9C in the past.

Anyhow, I wanted to test data roaming to be sure that it works (as it will definitely be used while up north) and I can't seem to make a connection. Verizon is the other CDMA/EVDO provider in my area, and i'm pretty sure sprint has a data roaming agreement with them.

Whenever I try to do anything data related while roaming I get "Dialed: #777 Cannot connect for an unknown reason, To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings. If the problem continues, reset your mobile device according to your manufacturer's documentation and try again".

Any ideas? I'm running the stock rom, with prl 60614 (just replaced 60613 actually.)

I have Alltel and the same problem. I would love to know if there is any solution or explanation.

in the phone settings / services > roaming; there is a section for data roam control.

I gotta tell ya, I feel like a friggin dunce. I had it set to "never ask" but didn't have "allow roaming" checked.

On another note, I've always been curious as to why every sprint device I've ever had, when data roaming, still pulls a sprint-leased IP.

that's because sprint is still the provider (isp)

My alltel phone still comes up with incorrect username and password when I am roaming. Am I supposed to have a username and password?
