GPS Help Please?
 

hi, my father has the xv6800 from verison. i just flashed his rom to dcd 3.3.4 and his radio to 3.42.50. i then followed the instructions here:

but when i get to setup 7 figure 4. its showing that surf7500 is on com3. when i try and launch TomTom 7 its waiting for a gps signal and never finds one... what am i doing wrong thanks.

thats ok did you go into service mode then read the phone

so you change all the settings write back to the phone. Then if you go back into QPST it shows all the modified information

i followed that thing step by step. and i don't know how to change the suft7500 from com3 to com4....

is the location set to on in the phone settings and check the gps seetings make sure that under the programs tab that its set to gps com4 under the hardware tab gps hardware port is set to non with a baud rate of 4800 and under the access tab check the manage GPS automatically. Also what rom was originaly on the phone when you flashed to dcd

yeah, i have triple checked all that. location set to on, com4 under external gps... the lastest verizon m1 rom or whatever it was called

you shouldnt have to change the com port three should work you are using a usb cable correct.

did you relock your phone and let the customizations run from the stock rom before you unlocked and went to dcd
