Why the **** is my phone so slow
 

Everything I do is slow, texting, internet, closing programs. I tried removing skyfire, and UI Tweaker. Backed up my PIM, turned predictive text off, and cleared my text messages. regular WM 6.1 with the battery bar on the top, google maps, and HTC home customizer For some reason my internal memory is almost full, about 5 mb left.

Any ideas? I tried to install a ROM using the PPC kicthen, but ActiveSync crashes. That is another thread though... ](*,)

try a custom rom. for what ur expieriencing i would reccomend yay 4 juggs rom. it is clean so u can see if it is software related

The Titan has low RAM to begin with... Running a lot of programs at once will make it slow down and eat all the RAM up like little Pac Men...

It may help if he is an advanced user. But by the sounds of it I woudl say no right off the top of my head beings he is on stock 6.1


OP, I see you are using the home customizer. Obviously you have HTC Home running. Are you using the "wether" tab by any chance?

My RAM isn't full, just the program memory... 76% full with IE open.

Yes no doubt! I agree 100% Its crazy. I just got my Vouge brand new yesterday. Carried a Titan for a year. Cant believe the difference 64 megs of RAM makes.

lol... Try a Touch Pro.. It has 192 MB of RAM, instead of 64 MB like the Titan... Huge difference...

Just an FYI If you want a pretty ROM that is fast on the titan if you decide to upgrade check out my ROM on XDA. Rave reviews and its fast.

I was running no2chem rom, before my first mogul fried, lol. Yes I have the "weather" tab, but I never go there.

Why would Activesync crash when I am trying to put a new rom on my phone?

I have the same problem as the OP.. It's getting to the point I'm about ready to just drop the phone and switch to something else. Would be costly though. Everything I do is laggy and slow, sometimes just rotating from landscape back to normal can take 15 seconds. And thats on a fresh boot. I have to restart the phone 3-4 times a day because it will get so laggy and slow. And the only programs I have always running are QuickMenu and HTC Home/HHC.

I bolded the part in the quote I'm wondering about? What does the Weather tab in HTC Home have to do with anything? Is there a problem with it? I also have it on the screen, but I never go to it.

Regardless I guarantee thats the problem. If its not the whole problem then for sure its part of it. The weather tab has MASSIVE memory leak. Whether or not you are using it is not a factor, its just the fact that it is active on your phone.

Because it sucks. No for real, what active sync are you talking about? The desktop or mobile version?

At least check out the thread man. I never put a ROM out before but have been building them for a couple years. I tweak the $%^& out of it. Spent about 80 total hours on it. A lot of people are loving the ROM.

But yeah, your right... Nothing like a plug for my ROM (again ;c)

YES YES YES! Its a huge problem but not very well known. Shut the weather tab off. I guarantee it will help.

Oh wait I get it. Had to read it about 4 times then look at your stats to figure it out. Hahahaha
